As I’m sure you’ve seen, Zendaya stunned in a white Louis Vuitton suit that drew inspiration fromBianca Jaggerand — you guessed it —Diana Ross inMahogany. And so, face to face with her literal style inspiration, Z made sure to let the people around her know what an exciting and special moment it was. “She’s the reference!” she says excitedly to the crowd.
Notably, lots of people have praised Zendaya’s “class” for respectfully giving Diana her space to shine on the red carpet. Despite “pushy” photographers yelling her name and asking her to step into a picture with Diana, Zendaya could be seen in the WWD clip attempting to redirect the attention away from herself and back to the 81-year-old icon.
