“ What the hell is this ? Our President of the United States ’s brain is mashed potatoes . ”
President Donald Trump puzzled people on Wednesday with his rambling reply to a question about histargeting of Harvard University.
During a NewsNation town hall, ESPN host and potential 2028 presidential hopefulStephen A. Smithasked Trump ― who called in to the event ― to explain his administration’s threat to withhold funding to the institution, partly in protest of its so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
asked by Stephen A. Smith about his Harvard shakedown , Trump starts rant about Harlem and say " I begin a very high sinister vote"pic.twitter.com / ZoKFaAx7xs
Trump said : “ We had riots in Harlem , in Harlem , and frankly , if you look at what ’s gone on , and people from Harlem croak up and they protested , Stephen . And they dissent very strongly against Harvard . They happen to be on my side . You know , I have a very high Black vote . You make out that . Very , very high Black vote . It was a very great compliment . ”
Trump tissue and ramble a little bit more before actually referencing the university by appearing to claim that Black people “ agree with what I ’m doing with regard to Harvard . ”
Critics on social media had … thoughts .
