" No after - parties for me . "
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’sTatyana Alitook a trip down memory lane to reflect on a Hollywood party she went to as a teen, and the way her mother handled it.
Earlier today, Tatyana — who played Ashley Banks on the hit ’90s series — took to X (formerly known as Twitter) tosharethe background story behind a couple of throwback photos from when she was 15.
She was attending Jonathan Brandis’s 18th birthday party on 30 April 2025 at Bar One Nightclub in West Hollywood, when paparazzi captured this photo — “Funny story lol,” she wrote in her tweet. “That’s my baby sister in the window of my mom’s minivan Only way I could go to my teen actor friends' club bday parties was if my mom drove me…and waited outside the whole time.”
“No after-parties for me,” Tatyana continued. “She was parked out front, ready to take me HOME!”
And while some of you might’ve read the quote and said, “That’s it?” her mother’s act isn’t being viewed lightly. Withcelebrities divulging secretsof what it was really like growing up in the industry at such a young age, like the access they had todrugs and alcohol, and being subjected totoxic work environments, having an “overly protective” parent seems like a plus in this business.
While it would be easy to deem this behavior as “strict,” many fans applauded Tatyana’s mother for being willing to go the extra mile to keep her teen safe.
