" I would move to Canada for this ! "

Up here in Canada, we do a lot of…unique…things that seem toconfuse the rest of the world. Like, I don’t think anyone truly understands how to use the word “eh” correctly, even though it’s very obvious to all of us Canadians.

And another huge thing that’s normal in Eastern Canada, but nonexistent almost everywhere else in the world? BAGGED MILK. Yep, you heard me right. MILK IN A BAG.

So over the past year, we’ve been conducting an experiment of sorts over here at BuzzFeed Canada, to answer some vital questions. Can our favourite celebrities figure out how to pour bagged milk properly? And what are their general reactions to it?

Today, we’re gonna present alllll our fun results — which we’ve also been uploading on TikTok, in a series we like to callMilking It. Here we go:

1.The very first person we tested wasTom Schwartz, who you might know fromVanderpump Rules. He literally gasped when we gave him the bag, and said, “I’ve heard about this! It’s a BAG of MILK.” He was having a bit of a moment. A connection to the Canadian lifestyle.

He proceeded to use the milk to make a beautiful espresso martini…but yeah, definitely didn’t pour it right. “I think you just nip the corner?” He made a rookie mistake: cutting the corner and pouring the milk from the bag straight into the jug. Tom also fought the urge to “puncture it,” which would’ve been kinda scary.

2.Also fromVanderpump Rules,Jax Taylor was mostly confused. “I’m sorry, what’s happening? Is this a thing?” he said, and proceeded to question why bagged milk was created in the first place. “Who’s the marketing people who do this?”

After some confusion, Jax actually figured it out! Kinda. The hole he cut was definitely too big, which caused some mess. He was also NOT happy with the functionality. “This is a lot of work. And now I gotta put it in the fridge like this?” But hey, he did better than most of the other celebs.

3.I had high hopes for Alex Warren, mostly because I low-key loved the Hype House show. “I’m terrified to open this,” he began, which I kinda get. “That’s insane.” But once he saw the bags WITHIN the bag, he was pretty confident. “I think I know how to open this now…”

Alex made the same error of cutting the bag and pouring the milk into the carton. Of course, we called this out. “It’s in the damn cup,” he replied. “Now, I don’t wanna say your way is inefficient…” but yeah, he kinda did insinuate that. It’s OK, Alex. We can take it.

4.Angie K fromThe Real Housewives of Salt Lake Citysaid my favourite thing ever: “My breast milk was in a bag like this.” I LOL’D. She seemed a lot more enthusiastic about the concept than the previous celebs, which we love to see. “I bet the secret is to cut the corner,” she said.

So, yeah, she did cut the corner. But poured the milk directly from the bag into the cup, THEN the rest into the jug. “Look how beautiful! I’m so proud of myself right now,” she said. But when we told her she did it wrong, she was shocked. “Why didn’t I think of that?!”

5.Singer Alex Sampson is actually Canadian, so we took it up a notch for his test: we made him do it all BLINDFOLDED. “Oh no. This is gonna get everywhere.” (And spoiler alert, yeah, it really did.)

While he did struggle at first (um, he tried to put ALL THREE BAGS in one jug), he did pretty well until the actual pouring. “Not gonna spill a single drop…I think I spilled a single drop.” We enjoyed watching him pour milk all over the counter. He was a good sport.

6.We HAD to include an actual food expert in this list, so who better thanTop Chef’svery own Kristen Kish? She was confident from the very start. “In a bag. Yes, I do know that.” And she got right to work…but in a completely unique way.

She begun by BITING (yes, BITING) the hole in the bag, and pouring the milk straight into the cup. Then, she placed the bag inside the carton. When we told her she did it wrong, she had to re-calibrate for a sec, and on her second try, she did actually get it right for the most part — although she did say it “makes no sense whatsoever.”

7.Finally, our most-recent (and most chaotic) edition of Milking It stars Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, and West Wilson fromSummer House. They were all SHOOK by the sheer concept alone. “What the hell?!” Kyle said. “What do Canadian cows look like?”

West cut a hole in the outer bag, to which Kyle told him, “You have no idea what you’re doing.” Then, Carl proclaimed he had an idea, and emptied the milk from the bag into the jug (classic mistake). Everyone decided it was a RACE at that point, so all hell broke loose, all of them copying Carl’s method. When we did show them the correct way to do it, they were fascinated. “No way,” Carl said.
