This Pope will be terminally on-line .

We’re one week into the first (North) American Pope!

People were speculating whether the new Pope would maintain a robust social media presence, and it wasreportedon Tuesday that he would continue to use social media like his predecessor, Pope Francis.

Judging from Pope Leo’s personal Twitter account, it appearedhe was into social media.

Side note: He also texts.

And now, we have official confirmation that Pope Leo will, in fact, be using social media, and here’s his first post:

A few hours later, he posted a bunch of times about war:

“War is never inevitable. Weapons can and must fall silent, for they never solve problems but only intensify them. Those who sow peace will endure throughout history, not those who reap victims. Others are not enemies to hate but human beings with whom to speak.”
