Last week, Newark Liberty International Airport — one of the busiest airports in the US — experienced mass system outages that one air traffic controller described as"the most dangerous situation you could have."
Donald Trumpwas quick to blame former Secretary of TransportationPete Buttigieg, claiming Buttigieg and the Biden Administration should have updated the air traffic control software sooner.
While speaking with reporters in the Oval Office about the airport outages, Trump said: “I was all set, before we had the rigged election, to give out a brand new, gorgeous system to one company that was going to do the whole thing.”
“And when they took over — Buttigieg, who has no clue — you know, he drives to work on his bicycle with his, in all fairness, with his husband on the back. Which is a nice, loving relationship,” Trump said in anow-viral clipcirculating on social media.

“But he didn’t have a clue. This guy, he didn’t have a clue. He’s actually a contender for President. Between him and Crockett, you can have that party,” Trump continued.
Trump’s bizarre comment about Buttigieg seemingly refers to the Transportation Secretary riding his bike to the White House for a Cabinet meeting in 2021.

In response to the clip, one person wrote, “Hateful sack of shit.”
“just some casual homophobia from the president of the united states of America,” another person said.
“It’s like he tried to make fun of him for riding a bike and got lost in ‘actually, riding a bicycle with your loving husband is kinda nice’ on the way,” this person said.
This person called Trump’s comment “super creepy” and “homophobic.”
And as this person said, “Vulgar, shameful behavior by the President of the United States.”
