We make love a gustatory perception of nostalgia .

The fifth and final season ofYouis officially here, and starPenn Badgleyis sharing behind-the-scenes secrets about the show, and they’re killer!

So, you know the infamous glass cage where Joe holds all of his chosen victims? Well, that room actually has a unique tie to theGossip Girlset.

“Interesting note, this is where we shotGossip Girl,” Penn said. “This is the same stage that the Waldorf suites where they lived were on this stage.”

That’s right, theYouset andGossip Girlset are one and the same, at least when it came to filming home scenes for some of the characters.

“This stage with the bookstore was where the Humphrey loft was, so this place is extremely familiar to me. I’ve been looking at these trees for nearly 20 years now.”

Penn also revealed the cage is reconstructed every season. Despite it being a prop, to make it even more realistic, the cage does not have a door knob or latch to allow the person inside to escape. The small access window can only open inside the cage if the outer window is shut.

I don’t know about you, but I find this so fascinating! You can watch the full AD episode below to learn more about the set:
