" lastly , someone understands this is natural depression and not laziness . "
Popular TikToker@davdliftsrecently caught the attention of over 43 million people after he documented himself cleaning his sister’s messy room, referring to it as her “depression room.”
Known for making funny skits on the platform,@davdliftsfirst prepared for the clean by putting rubber gloves on his hands…and feet.
He then suited up in a trash bag and was ready to begin:
He gave a little “before” pan of the room:
It’s a lot of clothes, but also random other things:
As well as a vanity loaded with items:
So, he gets right to work, loading up the dirty clothes.
And he eventually starts making progress.
After he is able to make the bed…
He starts untangling her hair tools.
And sweeping the floor.
Lastly, he starts organizing her vanity.
He continued until the whole room was spotless.
I say he completed a job well done!
People saw it as an opportunity to discuss how no one should judge this reality for some people:
And that “messy” rooms don’t always mean the person is “lazy”:
It is just real life:
People also shared their own experiences having their rooms surprise cleaned by loved ones when they were struggling:
Some people said it was the kindest thing they’ve ever experienced:
And how the simple act meant so much at the time:
In addition it gave comfort to people who currently had to clean their own “depression rooms”:
…and entire houses:
At the end of the day, one thing is for certain,@davdliftsis one amazing brother!
