What do you wish you have sex sooner ?
From toxic beauty standards to being okay with unfair treatment, society puts a lot of pressures, limitations, and expectations on women…and just expects them to live with it.
So, women, we want to hear from you: What societal pressures did you fall for in your 20s that you wish you realized sooner were just “lies” and “scams?”
Maybe you’re an older single woman who felt a lot of pressure to get married and have a family young, or else something was “wrong” with you. But life didn’t turn out that way, and you’re wayyy happier than you expected (and even some of your married friends admitted they are jealous of your life).
Perhaps you remember comparing your appearance to what you saw on social media and being unhappy for several years, but after turning 30, you recognized how much gets distorted online, and everyonehas “imperfections” — so you started embracing your own.
Maybe you even fell for all the marketing online and started buying the life-changing products influencers promoted, only to now regret how much money you spent on things you never really needed — and you want to warn other women about how normalized overconsumption has gotten.
Or perhaps you felt you had to constantly make others happy and put your needs aside in relationships. Now, you can share how you learned to stop people-pleasing and how to set better boundaries.
Or maybe you felt like you had to be “perfect” and have your professional and personal life super put-together. But it wasn’t until decades after your 20s that you realized that was extremely unrealistic and unsustainable, and you started discovering who you were much later in life.
What do you wish you knew sooner?
