“No, no. Well, I still believe that, but you know, it takes two to tango, right?” Trump replied.
“You know, I’m a real estate developer at heart… When you look at that beautiful formation when it’s together [US and Canada], I’m a very artistic person, but when I looked at that, I said, that’s the way it was meant to be… But we’re not going to be discussing that unless somebody wants to discuss it.”

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney then said, “Well, if I may, as you know from real estate, there are some places that are never for sale. We’re sitting in one right now [the White House]. You know, Buckingham Palace that you visited as well.” Trump laughed, “That’s true.”
Carney continued, “Having met with the owners of Canada over the course of the campaign — last several months — it’s not for sale, won’t be for sale ever.”

Carney then mouths “never” five times, laughing, as the press starts shouting more questions.
“The Canada PM doing his best to keep his peace,” this person cried.

Quite a few people questioned Trump’s view that Canada would benefit from being a US state. “‘tax cuts for Canadians’ ??? this guy can’t even offer tax cuts for Americans unless they are billionaires…” this person said.
