take care double !

Viola Davisjust received her very first Madam Tussauds wax figure, and she was blown away by the resemblance.

Last week, while promoting her new action-packed thrillerG20, the EGOT recipient was honored with her very ownwax figureat the renownedMadame Tussauds Hollywood.

She was blown away by the resemblance as she examined her new statue from head to toe. Honestly, I was stunned, too. The artists truly nailed her smile. I was seeing double, and Viola’s reaction spoke volumes.

“You got everything right,” she exclaimed. “I mean, she looks alive. This dress, I believe, is Armani. They got it perfectly. Just perfectly.”

“It’s like the dream. It’s just never over. What my fantasy is, is they’re gonna feel about her the same way little Viola would’ve felt when she looked at Ms. [Cicely] Tyson or Melba Moore. They’re gonna feel seen.”

Viola noted that they were able to capture the facial features that some people might not even notice. And while stopping byLate Night with Seth Meyers, she shared which attribute she was very adamant about, especially as a Black woman.

Noting that Madame Tussauds is “not [always] the best” when it comes to capturing the true essence of a celebrity, but this time they got it right.

“I made sure they got the skin tone right,” Viola said. “The teeth right. They got the ding in my nose right. They got my booty right. I got that bump.”

“That’s very important for Black girls. It’s a Black girl thing. I said, ‘Yeah, you gotta get the booty right.'”

She went on to say that seeing this figure made “6-year-old Viola” very proud. It served as a laugh-laugh moment for her childhood bullies.

But she wasn’t the only one impressed by the statue. Here’s what some fans had to say:
