On Saturday, April 19, peoplegatheredin over 80 cities across the United States to protest the Trump administration. This date also marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, so protestors united under the motto “No kings.”

The protests were organized by50501, a peaceful movement to defend the Constitution against executive overreach. One of 50501’s national coordinators Sarah ParkertoldCNN, “We are sending a clear and urgent message to the country and to those in power: the people are paying attention, we are organizing, and we will not accept authoritarian overreach, fascist policy, or the dismantling of our rights under the Constitution.”
