Being thepop cultureobsessive I am, I spent my Monday night watching theMet Galared carpet livestream like a hawk, taking note of every single arrival. So, imagine my surprise when I hear thatLeonardo DiCapriowas there…and I somehow missed him?
Yep, thenotoriously privatemovie star made a surprise appearance at fashion’s biggest night this week — presumably in support of his 26-year-old supermodel girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, who stunned on the red carpet in a navy pinstripe Moncler x EE72 dress.
As for how I missed it, it turns out Leo opted to skip the big red carpet. And his attendance probably would have gone completely under the radar if not for Vogue’s photographer inside the Met, who managed to snap asneaky picof Leo and Vittoria walking into the party together.
In keeping with the night’s dress code, “Tailored for You,” the Oscar-winning actor wore a black tuxedo and matching bowtie, and — in classic Leo style — thepic shows him cracking a smilewhile trying to conceal his face from the cameras. (If there’s one thing about this man, hewillfind a way to avoid being photographed.)
Despite having dated hisfair share of supermodels, this impressively marks the first time Leo has ever attended the Met Gala. All I need to know now is how he got pastAnna Wintourwithout walking that red carpet…maybe next year!
