As you probably know,JoJo Siwais currently taking part in the UK series ofCelebrity Big Brother, and after Tuesday night’s live eviction, the 21-year-old star has officially made it to Friday night’s final.
It seems as though JoJo has used her time in the house to really understand who she is as a person, and last week, ITV divided viewers when they aired emotional scenes thatshowed JoJo questioning her gender identity.
She andLove Islandstar Chris Hughes were summoned to the Diary Room to speak with Big Brother after they broke the rules by communicating in code. Big Brother asked the pair what the “secret message” was, to which JoJo admitted: “It’s something that I’m not ready, necessarily, to be open about or upfront about, but it has to do with gender and how do I feel. Let’s put it this way… Oh my god, this is a lot…”
And in addition to her gender identity, JoJo has clearly been processing her sexuality while in theCelebrity Big Brotherhouse, too, as she revealed late last night that being on the show has made her realize that she isn’t a lesbian, but queer.
During the show’slivestream, viewers saw JoJo excitedly open up to drag performer Danny Beard, saying: “I feel, like, so queer, do you know what I mean? I think that’s the thing, I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, and I think being here I’ve realized: ‘Oh, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer,' and I think that’s really cool.”
During her first week in the house, JoJo referenced her sexuality when disgraced housemateMickey Rourkeasked her if she liked “boys or girls,” to which she replied: “Me? Girls. My partner is nonbinary.”
