The BMC make up one’s mind to cut down through Mumbai ’s concrete jungle to make mode for a real one .

We know Mumbai as a concrete jungle.

But recently, authorities decided to cut through this jungle to make space for a real one.

🌳 A ' lofty Nature Trail ' , inspired by Singapore ’s ' Tree Top Walk , ' has been developed amidst the lucullan verdure of Kamla Nehru Park and Firozeshah Mehta Garden at Malabar Hill in Mumbai . 🌿 🌲 This ' idealistic Nature Trail ' is now open to the public , offer Mumbaikar a…pic.twitter.com/h1jDWliLIU

Tbh , social media made me do it . With several reels making their means to my provender , I was magnetize by the beautiful wooden bridge disappearing amidst all the green , which I have n’t seen in Mumbai . So of course , I drag out my friend along with me to see what the hype was all about . Here ’s how it went .

Getting tickets is a breeze.

It isn’t the easiest place to reach.

The wait time can be a bit of a hassle.

The BMC has capped the bit of visitor at 200 per one-armed bandit to avoid turn the trail into a local train . But the check - in process is n’t exactly seamless . We had booked the 6 a.m. slot but arrived at 7 a.m.—and were still permit in . As the crowd grew , people became increasingly impatient , which only gets bad in the Bombay rut . So , a little prep and patience go a tenacious mode .

The actual space is small, but pretty damn cool.

Though we were say that we had an time of day to walk around , we did n’t have anyone tell us we demand to go away . We took our time souse in the scenery : tall trees , chirping birds ( mostly crows , but hey , it counts ) , and a view of Girgaon Chaupatty on the other side . The woods ’s spectre was such a welcome geological fault from the oestrus . perchance it was the other daybreak sentence expansion slot , but all the visitors maintained quiet , which was honestly refreshful in a metropolis that thrives on noise and bedlam .

You might run into influencers.

We did n’t bump into any familiar faces , but Iwas ~ influenced~ into shoot the breeze the lead … which means there will be a person with a photographic camera to their face suppose , ' hey guys ' , to their audience . It can be distracting , but in true Mumbai fashion , we just pretend we do n’t see it .

It’s still Mumbai, after all.

TL;DR: should you visit the Malabar Hill Nature Trail?

tacky ticketsShort but refreshing walkTough to find , but worth the effortGo betimes . Escape the heat and the crowd .
