The bar is in hell , but not for these big businessman .
Anyone else frothing at the mouth in anticipation ofColman Domingo’sMet Galalook in a couple of weeks? And yes, we are only weeks away from 2025’s charity ball.
If you’re not as tuned in to the wonders of Colman’s fashion as I am, you may not know that he’s one of the co-chairs for the upcoming event, along with Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky,PharrellWilliams, and, of course, Ms. Anna Wintour herself. This year’s theme isSuperfine: Tailoring Black Style. The dress code, “Tailored for you”, focuses on menswear, and I, for one, am beyond excited to see what the guys in attendance have in store for us.
But alas, every year there are always disappointments. We’re all familiar with the dreaded black tuxedo that some men feel is appropriate to wear to the fashion event of the year. And hey — I can’t fault them too much. It’s classic and timeless, and it’s super easy for me to sit and judge from the comfort of my hoodie that I’ve been wearing for multiple days. But since we’re all hoping not to see a single boring menswear look this time, I’ve rounded up some of my all-time favorite looks from men at the Met Galas over the years. Let’s get to it!
