Halle Baileyhas been granted a restraining order against her ex, DDG, as per theAP.
The two firstsparkedromance rumors back in January 2022, and went on to welcome their son, Halo, in December 2023. The following October, DDG [real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.] confirmed that they’d broken up, writing on his Instagram story, “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.”
As perAP News, a judge ordered yesterday that the YouTuber and rapper had to stay away from Halle and their 17-month-old until a hearing on July 6. In documents requesting the order viewed by the newswire, Halle said, “Throughout our relationship, Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”
The Little Mermaidstar further alleged that there had been “multiple acts of physical violence” since their split, detailing one alleged incident in which she said DDG repeatedly called her a “bitch” as she tried to get their son into a car seat. “We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” she alleged. Photos of her tooth and bruises reportedly included in the filing.
Halle also claimed that she filed a police report over an alleged incident in March where he is accused of destroying her Ring camera, which was recording a tense altercation between them, and then slamming a car door on her while she held their child. She further claimed that DDG would use his social media following to start “bad mouthing me to his several millions of fans,” adding, “He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”
