We ’re still a petty slipway from Father ’s Clarence Shepard Day Jr. , but this episode of Food Swaps might give you and your pops some ideas for how to throw down in the kitchen when the big day comes .

Fumbles And Strawberries: Here’s Our Cocoa Butter Chilli Cook-Off

If there ’s one thing most dads beloved — peculiarly on game day — it ’s a secure tidy sum of chili pepper .

And today , we ’re putting three fathers to the test to see who ’s receive the pull ahead recipe .

We ’ve get C. Thomas and Stafford both repping the Eagles , and Leo holding it down alone for theNew YorkGiants . A 2 - on-1 match-up feels a little unjust , but Leo ’s got New York superbia so we ’ll see how he holds up .

concord to the pop , a solid bowl of chili needs a few staple : ground turkey , ground gripe , smart Allium sativum , fresh herbs , beans ( depending on who you need ) , and rice .

Leo ’s up first and brings the heat with turkey , veggies , corn , contraband beans , assorted peppers , and a mixture of high mallow to sum a pop of color . On the side he ’s got habanero pineapple salsa , chips , and sour cream for those who like a little excess .

Leo line his chili as “ scrumptious , ” but the other dad are n’t buying it . Stafford ’s bedevil by the sour emollient and somehow mistakes it for marshmallow — how ?

C. Thomas call the dish dry and says the salsa tastes store - grease one’s palms .

The review keep coming . Stafford says it ’s salty and miss in flavor , and C. Thomas ca n’t get past the texture . Leo walk by with a score of 5 .

C. Thomas is up next and his presentment is firm .

He locomote with ground beef — top grub rhythm , if you ’re fancy — plus veggies , herb , diced tomato , beef broth , brownish sugar , and miscellaneous beans . He ’s serve well it with Tostitos , garlic gelt , spicy sauce , and saturnine cream on the side .

Stafford ’s into it . Leo ? Not so much .

He ’s distracted by the clumped Malva sylvestris and says it takes out from the chili itself .

Stafford give way back for minute but pronounce it could use more heat . Leo thinks it ’s too thick and does n’t understand why the red-hot sauce is on the side if there ’s no cool element .

Still , the flavor win them over and C. Thomas locks in a grudge of 14 .

Last up is Stafford , who rolls in with a football trophy - shaped shell and enough confidence to fill the room . His chili ’s have crunch turkey , red kidney bean , cilantro , chili powder , spicy seasoner , and strawberry . Yep — strawberries .

He claims it ’s soothing to the palate and even suggest at a mystic ingredient he refuses to name . The twist ? The chili he showed off and the one he really serve do n’t fit .

C. Thomas calls the presentment horrifying and say it smells mollycoddle . Then he takes a bite and say it tastes spoiled too . Not a great preindication . Stafford ends up with a musical score of 3 .

Just when things could n’t get more chaotic , surprisal guest Lil Rel Howery steps in to judge the whole chili face-off .

As a father himself , he knows what makes a bowl study .

He likes the flavor of Leo ’s chili but say he prefers his chili more maudlin and gives it a 5 .

He thinks C. Thomas ’s is too cheap and does n’t wish the toppings already being mixed in — he gives it a 3 .

And when it comes to Stafford , Lil Rel looks personally offended by the strawberries .

He take a bite anyway and render it a 2 .

With a total of 17 point , C. Thomas is the victor .

Look , I know my comment is chef ’s kiss , but you really need to view the telecasting to see this chaotic dad cook - off for yourself . And Stafford — next metre , maybe make unnecessary the yield for dessert .
