" We did it , Joe . "

My fellow Canadians, how we doing? Ready to stop talking about politics yet? (I’m right there with ya.) But you know we wouldn’t wanna discuss it unless there was something huge to tell you about. So I’d sit down if I were you.

ICYMI, the Canadian federal election was last night, April 28. And if you’re not Canadian, all you gotta know is the two main candidates were Mark Carney of the Liberal Party, and Pierre Poilievre of the Progressive Conservative Party. In the end,Mark Carney won, making him our new Prime Minister.

But up until recently, Canadians werekinda convincedPoilievre was going to win. The Liberal Party has been in power since 2015, so it seemed like many people were in agreement that they wanted a change. But then Trudeau resigned, and Trump got elected. And it’s safe to say those events REALLY changed things.

Anyway, nitty-gritty of politics aside, Canadians are rejoicing online — and, well, comparing ourselves to the US to rub it in a little. It might feel a bit petty, but hey, can you blame us?

So here’s what people are saying:
