A time was had .

Ryan CooglerandMichael B. Jordanhave teamed up again to create cinematic gold, this time withSinners, an American Southern Gothic supernatural horror set in the Mississippi Delta in 1932.

The film follows identical twins Elijah “Smoke” and Elias “Stack” Moore, both played by Michael B. Jordan, who return home to the Mississippi Delta after years of living in Chicago working for mob boss Al Capone. But during the opening night of their juke joint, things quickly turn deadly when vampires try to join the party.

The cast, which also included Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, Miles Caton, Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Li Jun Li, all delivered unforgettable performances. From the writing and behind-the-scenes work that pulled everything together, to the memorable lines and music that live rent-free in my head, this film was a beautiful team effort.

I went to see the movie on opening night, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I love it when a project leaves a lasting impression on me and ultimately makes me run to Google to do more research on it. I’m already thinking of seeing it again.

And that seems to be the case for a lot of people because my Twitter timeline is filled with nothing butSinnersdiscourse, and I’m loving every minute of it. I mean it is thenumber one movie at the box officeright now!
