Donald Trump is once again going viral for another outrageous comment about the cost of eggs. If you recall, just a few months ago, he shared an article telling consumers to"shut up about egg prices"via Truth Social.

Well, during arecent press conferencein the Oval Office, Trump bragged to reporters, stating, “We have too many eggs,” presumably meaning under his administration. Here’s theclip:

“By the way, prices are down. Groceries are down. Eggs, which they, you hit me so hard I’ll never forget the first day, the first week in office, they were screaming at me about eggs…they were doubling and tripling, I said, ‘I just got here,'” Trumpsaid, pointing to a group of reporters.

“They said you won’t have eggs for Easter, well, you can have all the eggs you want…the egg prices are down 87%…but nobody talks about that,” hecontinued.

“You can have all the eggs you want, we have too many eggs. In fact, if anything, the prices are getting too low.”

According toUSA Today, retail US egg prices continue to remain high, even though wholesale egg prices have declined.

Trump’s claim raised more than a few eyebrows. “I’m not usually for egg talk, but he’s asking for it,” Fox News host Jessica Tarlov wrote on X, linking anAP News articleabout US egg prices increasing to a record high just before Easter.

As this person said, “I want to shop in whatever dimension he’s in.”

Another person reacted by posting a photo of a carton of eggs at their local grocery store with a price of $10.69.

And this person summed up the internet’s overall reaction, “Gaslighting at an all time high…”
