Denzel plays protagonist David King in the new crime thriller , which also asterisk celebrities like A$ AP Rocky , Ilfenesh Hadera , and Jeffrey Wright .
While speaking with the film’s director, Spike Lee, on the red carpet, Denzel, 70, had his armgrabbed by a photographerwho tried getting his attention.
Denzel then turned toward the paparazzo and pointed his finger at him, seemingly warning him to stop. The photographer — who was grinning — appeared to nod in agreement, only to grab Denzel’s arm again as soon as the actor turned away.

An insider has since given an apparent update on Denzel’s night, tellingPeoplethat in spite of the heated exchange, the actor had a “great evening.” However, needless to say, several fans were left appalled by the way Denzel was treated by the pushy photographer.
“He was definitely disrespected. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this on any red carpet. And apparently this is becoming atrendat Cannes,” one personwroteon Instagram, while others pointed out that other celebrities have long been disrespected by paparazzi at other events, too.
