Taking care of children isnotan easy job, and childcare workers should definitely be applauded (and paid more) for making sure that the children they’re watching over are healthy, safe, and nurtured while their parents are away.
That said, if you are or were a childcare worker, we want to know what parents have said or done that left you totally horrified, shocked, or completely dumbfounded.
Maybe you work in a daycare and have had parents who didn’t pick up their kid until two hours past pick-up time because they said they were watching aFleetwood Maccover band at the closest casino and just “couldn’t miss it.”
Maybe you were a babysitter, and the parents told you to your face that they don’t bathe their child because they “don’t believe in soap.”
Or maybe you worked with a family where you had to do EVERYTHING — cooking, feeding, and changing — because they either didn’t know how to, or just straight-up didn’t want to.
