Neither dissident could answer this question .

Proving your Latinidad always comes with its challenges. As part of Buzzfeed’s Latino gameshow,How Latino Are You?,two contestants were put to the test.

Contestants included Ivan Emilio, representing Puerto Rico, and Sahara Mendez, representing the Dominican Republic.

First up, both were asked a question to test their language skills: How do you say “unfortunately” in Spanish?

Five points for PR!

As a follow-up chance for five bonus points, contestants were then asked if they could spell desafortunadamente.

Sahara was met with some

Unfortunately (no pun intended), Sahara came up a bit short when it came to spelling the word.

Ivan, on the other hand, nailed the assignment.

Next, Sahara and Ivan were asked how to say tonsilitis in Spanish, and let’s just say, they were both stumped.

While neither of them could answer the question, Ivan did come close with his guess of amigdolitis. Which resulted in him getting some points for effort. (The correct answer was amigdalitis.)

Which Ivan then finished flawlessly.

The next category on the list? Geography! To start them off, both were asked to answer what the biggest island in the Caribbean is. With Ivan correctly responding Cuba to.

Quick little history pop quiz! Do you know which Caribbean country was the first to gain independence in Latin America?

Drumroll please…It’s Haiti!

The following challenge involved putting their drawing skills to the test. Contestants were asked to draw Guatemala by memory.

Let’s just say, both of them fell just a tad short.

A for effort?

However, when it came down to trying to point out Guatemala on a map, Sahara came in for the win.

For the final lightning round questions, both Sahara and Ivan were asked to guess which Latin artist is known for his salsa and has propelled to mainstream stardom.

Which Ivan admitted he might have had a personal advantage over.

Then they were asked who the original crossover queen artist was. Which no one was able to answer on the first try.

The correct response was Gloria Estefan, which Ivan got after the duo was given hints.

Last question. What year was the iconic song “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee released?

The winner for the round was Ivan, ranking a solid 60 points, while Sahara came in at 20.

So, how Latino areyou? No matter how many points you score, all levels are accepted here. Watch the full videohere.
