Last week,Megan Thee Stallionwent viral aftersneaking her phoneinto the 2025Met Galaand filming all sorts of footage.
Despite repeatedly making it clear that she was well aware of the Met’s famous“no cellphones” rule, Megan filmed and posted a very unfilteredvideoof herself, Doechii, and Angel Reese trying the food served inside the coveted event, as well as several clips withcelebritieslike Serena Williams and Michael Kors.
“ We not hypothesize to have our phones , ” she said repeatedly throughout the video . “ I snuck my phone in . ”
While Megan made it clear that she largely enjoyed the dinner, which included dishes like cornbread and caviar, white truffle lobster rolls, and hamachi fish, she and fellow celebrities Doechii and Angel Reese didn’t hold back when it came to some of the descriptions. Meg admitted that she found the vegan lox to be “funny looking,” while Angel noted that she felt the chicken curry pastries were “a little dry.”
Tons of internet users thanked Megan for posting thecandid and “forbidden” footage, while others warned thatAnna Wintour, who has presided over the Met since 1995, perhaps wouldn’t be too pleased to see the video online.
In fact, Meg evenleft a string of laughing emojis underone popularcommentthat read, “Here before Anna make you delete this.”
And now, Megan has addressed growing rumors that she’s been banned from the Met for breaking the “no cellphones” rule.
Speaking withPeoplethis week, the rapper made it very clear that there is no truth behind the rumors that she’s been banned. “No. We’re gonna dead these rumors right now, OK? People are like, ‘Oh my God, Megan, you got banned from the Met Gala.’ No, I didn’t, babe. Like that’s not true,” she said.
“Y’all made that up and ran with it. They love making [stuff up]. Anna loves me, babe. That’s why my phone was out,” she continued.
