Aimee Lou Woodis setting the record straight on where she stands with Sarah Sherman following all thatSaturday Night Livedrama.
If you missed it, Aimeecalled outSNL’s parody ofThe White Lotuslast weekend. While the show’s comedians poked fun at politicians throughout the majority of the skit, which was aptly titledThe White Potus, Aimee was the only actor parodied whose looks were made fun of; Sarah Sherman portrayed her by putting on a comical British accent and wearing prosthetic teeth.
Aimee branded the skit“mean” and “cheap”in a series of candid Instagram stories. She said, “Such a shame, cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago…Yes, take the piss for sure – but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”
Several internet users — includingcelebritieslike Cara Delevingne, Jameela Jamil, and Georgia May Jagger — wound up flooding Aimee with support.
TheSex Educationstar later revealed that she’d received an apology fromSNLover the skit — and now, Sarah has reached out as well.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Aimee shared a photo of a stunning pink bouquet and wrote, “Thank you for the beautiful flowers @sarahsquirm.”
Reacting to the heartfelt move, several internet userspraised Sarah’s “class act.”“That is a class act move on Sarah’s part. Nicely done!” someone wrote while another person echoed, “A classy act from Sarah Sherman.”
“ I enjoy that it was from Sarah specifically and not just fromSNLor NBC , like she wanted to verify she apologized and not just a crinkle item in the production budget , ” one personsaid .
“ This is rather classy and nice to see people having a dissonance and acting like adults about it for a change , ” wroteanother .
“ Posting these flower is very gracious of her , ” someonesaidof Aimee , while another somebody agree , “ She ’s far more gracious than me . ”

One more useradded , “ I love that she both spoke out about it being in poor taste but also had grace for everyone demand , because we all make mistake and comedy is concentrated . ”
