Teaching is one of the hardest jobs out there. In order to make sure your students understand the material you’re teaching, you have to present it in a way that engages them…which is especially tough when the way kids engage with things is changing by the year, thanks to screens and social media.

So naturally, some teachers will turn to memes in order to reach their students. Sometimes they’re actually funny! Other times, they’re…well, more than a little cringe. Here are 22 teachers who landed one way or the other on that scale (and I’ll let you decide which ones are which):

.You KNOW this music teacher made the whole class clap and speak these in rhythm.

.I would be able to concentrate 0% on my math test with this playing.

.Allegedly, this teacher actually ordered these online. Like, they were shipped.

.This one’s not bad.

.This one’s better.

.History class, probably?

.Honestly, bio teachers seem to be pretty good at this.

.Like:

.Oh no.

.This one is special because it’s a printed-out Instagram post. Frankly, I think that gives it a certain je ne sais quoi.

.Heh.

.I think I would just fail on purpose if my teacher graded me on this scale.

.Actually, this one’s worse.

.It’s not looking great for math teachers, unfortunately.

.This one…pretty good!

.This one…very bad!

.You can tell this is a younger teacher.

.(This was in 2022.)

.Ok, history teachers might be up there with the bio teachers.

.My eyes are bleeding.

.Would be better without the clipart.

.And finally, the OP said this was from their 56-year-old band teacher. Good job, 56-year-old band teacher!
